Product Datasheets
| AKT
Protein kinase B (PKB), also known as Akt, is the collective name of a set of three serine/threonine-specific protein kinases that play key roles in multiple cellular processes such as glucose metabolism, apoptosis, cell proliferation, transcription, and cell migration. There are three different genes that encode isoforms of protein kinase B. These three genes are referred to as AKT1, AKT2, and AKT3 and encode the RAC alpha, beta, and gamma serine/threonine protein kinases respectively. The terms PKB and Akt may refer to the products of all three genes collectively, but sometimes are used to refer to PKB alpha and Akt1 alone.
| Repeatability
Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay):CV% < 10%; Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays):CV% < 10%| Recovery
The recovery of Human AKT spiked at three different levels in samples throughout the range of the assay was evaluated in various matrices.| Sample Type | Range(%) | Average Recovery(%) |
| Tissue Homogenates(n=8) | 84-102 | 96 |
| Cell Lysates(n=8) | 92-105 | 102 |
| Linearity
Samples were spiked with high concentrations of Human AKT and diluted with Universal Diluent to produce samples with values within the range of the assay.| Tissue Homogenates(n=4) | Cell Lysates(n=4) | ||
